The AL.SK90 & AL.SK120 lifting machines are devices that have been designed for the lifting and installation of ultra-heavy loads. They can be equipped with a standard winching system for weights of up to 600Te and a strand jack lifting system for loads of up to 5000Te.

Assembly
The AL.SK90 & AL.SK120 are transported mainly in containers and for standard configurations this would be 96 in number. These are standard size 20' and 40' shipping containers with maximum weight of 36Te.
The machines are designed to be assembled using minimal resources:
1x200Te crawler crane, 1x150Te telescopic crane, 1x 8Te AT forklift,
1x3Te telescopic handler, 1x30m man-lift, 4 sp.SK riggers, 6 assisting riggers.
Erection of the machine in standard configuration is expected to take 21 days.
Demobilisation of the machine is expected to take 14 days.

Ballast
The AL.SK machines are based on utilisation of locally available ballast material. This is intended to be readily available material depending upon location, for example sand, gravel or other suitable weights or mass.
Special reinforced 40' open-topped containers are used for the ballast material, filled by standard mechanical shovel. Weight of each filled container is 100Te.

Ground Bearing Pressures
With specialist load-spreading systems and hydraulics beneath the AL.SK machines, ground bearing pressures are kept to a minimum.
For AL.SK90 and AL.SK120, maximum ground bearing pressures beneath the ballast are as follows:
2000Te ballast = 13.3Te/m2    2500Te ballast = 16.3Te/m2
3000Te ballast = 19.3Te/m2    3500Te ballast = 22.2Te/m2
4000Te ballast = 25.2Te/m2
Max ground bearing pressure beneath mast foot = circa 36Te/m2
Ground bearing pressures dependant on load. Normally much lower than max.

Rigging
The AL.SK machines come with a standard set of lifting tackle for erection.
Standard lifting rigging available for weights up to 1000Te.
For weights over 1000Te, rigging engineering and support will be provided.

Operational Speeds
Lifting Speed – Strand Lift System = 8m per hour
Lifting Speed – Quick Winch System = 150m per hour
Slewing Speed = 28m per hour loaded, 50m unloaded
